can factory 22 hornet ammo be fired safely in guns that have been rechambered to 22k hornet?

  Yes, because the Hornet headspaces off of the rim.

  To my knowledge, no one makes k hornet brass or loaded ammo.
  The only way to get k-hornet brass for reloading is to fire-form 22 hornet in a rifle chambered for K-hornet.
  
  So the answer is, yes.
