Google: Romanian AK 47 IRA
One of the most significant elements in the IRA armoury has been its 600-strong collection of Romanian-manufactured AKM rifles from Libya. It also had a collection of about 400 other assault rifles, including Armalite AR-15, G3 and FN FNC as well as earlier generation weapons such as the M-1 and the Lee Enfield. The arms expert said: "We know that one of the most deadly weapons still in the IRA arsenal is a collection of nine SA-7B 'Grail' surface-to-air missiles or SAMs."

It would be interesting to talk to Century Arms milsurp buyer to find the origins of the Romanian AK kits that have been imported into the US.0
