Identifing 3 guns
I have a Winchester 22 short long no model number (old)
2 black powder.. 20 gauge smooth bore flint lock
and rifled 40 caliber engraved black powder... where to look and what to look for. have pictures of all 3..

What type of action is the Winchester? Does it have a serial number on the lower tang? 0 -
what it say's on the barrel is Manufactured by Winchester Repetting
New Haven Conneticut USA Patten Aug 29 1899 also states short long
no serial number anywhere single shot bolt action0 -

Check GB for "winchester 22" That should bring up plenty of ads with pictures. If you can, post some pics (photobucket is good and relatively easy).
If it is a pump, I am thinking a 1906. Just thinking that because I have been looking for one.0 -

My bet is that you have a Thumb Trigger model, but pictures would positively ID it.0 -
