colt border patrol .22 cal

can anyone tell me about the Colt Border patrol pistol in .22 cal. revolver
4 inch barrel wood grips. I thought colt only made the Border Patrol in .38 or 357.

  If it an real boarder patrol from the 50's that is in .22 it is pretty rare and valuable.

  Colt never made the E-frame or J-frame Border Patrol in .22 chambering. Colt never made a .357 E-frame Border Patrol either, but the J-frame Border Patrol was .357 only.
  
  Therefore, either you are mistaken, someone has sleeved a .38 Border Patrol barrel to .22 caliber, someone has engraved Border Patrol markings on a .22 barrel of some type or you have a one-of-a-kind revolver. The latter is the least likely answer, but a Colt letter would verify. Is it an E-frame or J-frame? What is the serial number?
  
  Are you sure it is not an E-frame .22 Trooper, itself a scarce gun?
