    I'm interested in a carry gun in a heavy caliber. A business acquaintance carries a Taurus PT145 and recommends it highly. I'm not familiar with the gun, so I'd appreciate any info available from this forum. Also, any other gun choice suggestions.

    I had one of these for a while, and really liked it. It is small, yet has a 10 + 1 capacity of .45 caliber. I had zero problems with it. I finally sold only because I'm just not really a double action only fan and just couldn't adjust to the long trigger pull. If it had had a single action capability, I would most likely still have it.

    I have one, and I love it. It does have a long trigger pull, but after you adjust to it, it is a great shooter. I also find it very dependable.
