winchester model 670
i have a winchester model 670 270 i purchesed for my wife. im looking for a synthetic stock for it. ive been told that id have to get one for a model70 and add a floorplate and a trigger guard. is this correct. and if it is is ther a compleate kit for it and where.

The M670 was a 'budget' Post '64 Model 70 rifle made to offer the public a choice in price level. The obvious savings were in the trigger guard, stock and the bolt shroud. Stocks should be available through a couple of the surplus outlets and aftermarket dealers. The parts for the trigger guard/floor plate should be available through some of these as well:

I think Ramline makes a replacement synthetic stock for the 670. You might check Bell and Carlson also. 0 -
