Herters SA22 pistol
I would like to ask if any of you have had experience with disassemble of the Herters Sauer 22. I need to replace the firing pin and spring and have found the parts at Numrich's gun store. But, I can not find anything out there with disassemble instructions for the firing pin. Any suggestions - Thanks

afolsomb,
If your gun is like many others, with a frame-mounted firing pin, then it is pretty easy to change yours. Usually, you unload the gun, then secure it in whichever way works best for you (a paded vise; resting on a bench block; etc.). Drive out the retaining pin, from left-to-right, illustrated, here:
Either the hammer is already back, or, now, you pull back the hammer, and the spring & firing pin will come out of the back of the frame. You may need to push them out with a toothpick, of some other, suitable rod.
...however, if your gun has a firing pin "bushing", on the front of the frame (behind the cylinder), then someone else will have to talk you through that procedure.
Good luck!0
