I generally don't revive a closed thread, but there were a fair amount of "having the parts is OK" responses regarding assembling an AR pistol and dismissal of the "constructive possession" implications of having such parts.

There's nothing illegal about building an AR pistol, but knowing what constitutes constructive possession, especially regarding NFA items, is important.
