870 20 gauge 20" smooth bore barrels
Did Remington make them? I see many on the auction side that are rifled or that are 18.5" smooth bore. I am needing a 20" and may have to cut a barrel. Thanks for your info.
If I am not mistaken, they may have made some 20" smooth bore barrels for the "LW" and "special field" shotguns, but these will not fit the standard shotgun.

I believe I have one of the 20" 870 20 ga barrels you are referring to...I haven't used it in years, but I think it is a vent rib barrel too. I originally bought it for my 870 when I thought I would use that gun for rabbit hunting, (the 20" is an IC choke), but I ended up going with a 16 ga Model 12 with an old Poly choke....it worked out great! Let me know if you need me to read off any of the markings on the barrel...it's packed away in the safe right now. 0 -
