1935 military rifle
We recently acquired an old military style rifle. The only markings on it are a star with an arrow in it, 1935 under it, under that No 1744. Can you please help me get information on this? We can't find anyone so far that knows anything about it. Thank you for your help

pictures would be helpful, see the 'stickey' at the top of this forum 0 -
Star with an arrow suggests a Mosin 91/30 to me; however if I say "I have a car, it says Ford on it"... well you see how vague that is.
Post pics. If you can't, how long is the gun? Blade front sight, or post? Bent down bolt handle or straight? Bayonet lug? Fixed bayonet? Carbine, short rifle, long rifle? Any stamps anywhere else at all?
Lots of things you could do to help narrow this down, but pics are worth 10,000 words.0
