Uberti Burgess Carbine 44-40
Just got a Burgess carbine in 44-40. Beautiful wood, great wood to metal fit except too much overhang of the forend at the frame. Accurate out of the box with cowboy ammo, shoots 5 inchest left with factory jacketed stuff. Rear sight is sharp as a razor, cut my hand when I took it out of the box the first time. Very smooth action and lighter than a 92. Hates 44 remington factory jacketed, loved the Winchester ammo. Will try BP next. Great case color on the lever, trigger and hammer, almost like original Colt, hard to tell.

wish they would remake the colt root rifle in center fire ammo...30-30 or 45, 357...... 0 -
They look very nice, gives you a little different reciever profile that is unusual. I wish they hadn't just recycled the '66/'73 innards though, They could have at least used a more accurate hammer and trigger profile. But still nice to have another option, I'm always for more guns. 0
