My 870 with the corn cob front slide was made in 1952 acording to the barrel letter. I was suprized to see it had a nylon trigger housing that early. $200.00 is a great price if it is clean 0 -
i will see in the morning might be one of them guns a dad bought there daughter and she just let it set. 0 -
"to see it had a nylon trigger housing".........IT SHOULD HAVE AN ALUMINUM TRIGGER HOUSING, ANYTHING ELSE IS A REPLACEMENT 0 -
$200? Buy it! 0 -
Great price. 0 -
$200 bucks............ That means she got to use it for 25 years will still make a $10 profit on it. (paid about $190 for mine in "82".)
Pretty good deal for both sides.0 -

It belonged to my ffl dealer and he bought it new. It is either nylon or plastic and he said he never replaced it and it is original to the gun as is the barrel. If i remember right the barrel leters were ZZ and it dated to 1953 if i remember right. The barrel is in the gunsafe and i have a 20" rifle sight smooth bore on it now. It has the corncob forend and is a 870 wingmaster ser 26819*V. The police version has the aluminum triggerguard and when they started that i do not know0 -
Buy it! 0 -
well it was not as mint as stated on the phone, one persons idea of like new was different then mine.
had some rust and dings and scratches here and there, not real bad, but not mint.
SO I GOT IT FOR $135 [:p]
little cleaning and she will do just fine or
i can get all the cool tactical stuff and make it an assault shotgun[:D]0 -
