I was given an old cavalry gun by my uncle and would like to figure out what the history is...can you advise? I have pictures.

  SAME AS ANY .30/06 IN THE SAME COND. THE 'BICENTENIAL' PARTS DOESN'T ADD MUCH IF ANY VALUE TO A USED GUN

  The rifle is worth 500 give or take. The scope depends on who made it. Figure 50-200.
