DPMS SASS Sorry
I only have permission from the BOSS aka the wife to buy 1 gun a year and the question is. Is this gun worth the price tag (2000.00)?

It is a good gun, But imho for the money You'd be better set to buy a Fulton Armory Titan, It is based on the same design as the SASS, but it is just alittle different..
The overall build of the SASS doesnt equal the pricetag you see on it retail, It is a 1500-1600 dollar gun including the time to build it, and if you can find one for that price, slightly used it would be worth picking up. I like the older model with the retractable butt stock, This newer model with the PRS is nowhere near as portable.
I ended up going with the 18" barrel model from fulton, and it shoots as good as my 24" DPMS upper at 100 yards.
I got it with the standard flat top upper, and the full length 12 oclock rail and 3 inch rails at the 3, 6, and 9 oclock. The lower I use it with has a VLtor club foot stock on it, just like the old SASS.
I built the lower, useing a DPMS stripped lower, I was able to do the hole thing for about the base price of the Titan, with a better trigger, over sized magazine release, hydraulic buffer, and the retractable buttstock.
