.277 150gr RN
Have Hornady and Sierra quit making this bullet? I check their websites and don't see it on either one. I would like to find a couple hundred of them.

NOT ON MY NEW HORNADY CHART. 0 -
Not on my 2010 Sierra chart, either. 0 -
These days, shooters will only buy the latest, greatest super-premium plastic-tipped bonded multi-core boattail wonder bullet. So that's what bullet companies make. Why waste finite press time making bullets nobody wants? In spite of the fact that such bullets are all most hunters really need.
That .277" 150 RN is/was a great bullet for 99% of all deer and elk hunting with non-magnum cartridges. It lost virtually nothing in any way inside 300 yards to any wonder bullet, and killed critters exactly 100% dead. We can say the same for the equally fabulous .308 150 RN, by the way.0 -
Does anyone know where I could get a couple hundred before they are gone forever? I would prefer Sierra. 0 -
Those are spitzer boat tail. i am looking for round nose. i found 200 in a shop i never go in. i probably should get 300 more. 0 -
bperdue21,
I'm showing Wideners still shows them, but not in stock. Hornady does not, nor does Sierra show a 150 gr. Round nose bullet in their new line-up. All the other places I've looked that show them as a production bullet do not show them as being in stock.
FWIW, these may be a less expensive way to harvest game, but the trend has gone towards spitzer bullet styles. RN's are hardly ever made anymore and are about to go the way of the dodo-bird. So, unless you find a bunch on sale what you see is what you get.0
