416 Rigby

I am wanting a new 416 Rigby but can't decide between a Dakota or a Dumoulin. The Dakota has better resale some say but I like the lines of the Dumoulin. What do youall think?

    I suppose you have also considered the CZ rifle in .416 Rigby and discarded that idea? Just checking...

    IF, these are both new and current models chambered for the .416 Rigby, I would go with the Dumoulin.

    Dakota has, in recent past, been experiencing a lack of quality control and fit/finish. This goes along with the decline of sales brought about by the inept mishandling by the owner Charlie Kokesh, former CEO, Dakota Arms. Currently, Remington is the owner of Dakota but I have yet to see any improvements that can actually be attributed to the new owner. But I don't stand in their shop doing quality control either.

    I also think that the Dakotas are overly high priced from the start, artificially inflating the secondary market prices.

    Dumoulin has been around a long time producing high quality firearms for the discriminating shooters of the world.

    I tend to agre with the pricing and it seems the Dakota is alot chunkier which probably helps on recoil but not on handeling. If you can't mount a gun quickly recoil is mute. I haven't shot a Dumoulin but I have a Dakota and was not impressed with groups.
