can anyone help me put a value on a new FN 20" ar-15/m-16 barrel?
i bought it years ago and was curious what it might be worth.

  I would expect it to sell for around $200.

  I don't know about FN's but good quality standard M4 barrels are in the $100-$140 range. 20" barrels seem to bring less than that.
  
  If you are looking to sell it on auction post it at $200 and see if you have any takers. If no sale then drop to $150 and see what you get there. FN is a good name in firearms and may just get you that sale.
  
  I wouldn't go below $100 unless you really needed the money.

  2 years ago they were available for 5 for $600. I would have bought a couple but didn't need 6.

  Bare barrel in the 150-200 range. There are two types of FN barrels that float around the market. There are those that got stamped and didn't pass QC at a vendor at some point in time and "accidentally" made it to market. The other barrels are stolen for the government. FN's government contract states they can't sell AR parts to the general populous.
