Value on Old Shotgun Shells in Box Winchester
Looking for the value of an old box of Winchester 12 Gauge shotgun shells in box, 1 box complete, 1 missing 1 shell.
Winchester Super Speed Shotgun Shells 3/4 of box is Yellow, bottom quarter is red. box states
Super Seal Crimp
Super Seal Cup Wad
Weatherproof Tube
Long range short shot string staynless - Thats how stainless is spelled on box.
Made in USA stamped all over box
12 ga. 3 3/4 Drams, 1 1/4 oz 7 1/2 shot 2 3/4 in

They are not "stainless" Check the auctions. Not much with a shell missing. 0 -
klw67, I have no idea of the value of those shells/boxes but I believe that they would date to the 1960's time frame. The cup wad was an inverted cup that acted as a seal (like a bicycle pump), made of heavy waxed cardboard. The super seal crimp was a nicely folded six segment, wax sealed closure over the shot. The term "staynless" was a Winchester term for non-corrosive priming and powder. They were damned good shells in their day. If you look around at a gun show you might find a shell that matches and you can fill out the box missing a round.
