Hunter Firearms - "Fulton" & LC Smith

I have 2 double barrel shot guns - from Hunter Firearms that I am trying to find out some information. I have the serial numbers & I know Hunter Firearms is no longer in business. How would I find out the history of these guns. These guns belonged to my father/uncle & have been with me for decades (I am 71). I think they are from the early 1900's. Is there a website from which I can get some information?

  You can get factory letters on L.C. Smith shotguns. I got my letter from Marlin several years ago but I think the records have been moved to the Cody Firearms Museum in Wyoming.

  Also there is a very good article that appeared in the Double Gun Journal in one of the 2000 issues. It was a pretty complete history of the Hunter family and their family business.
