shotgun rechambering?????
hello-have a single barrel ithaca flues that had the chamber worn in too far into the barrel. the shells are recessed to far and there is too much headspace. question is can barrels like this be welded and turned straight in a lathe and have the rim cutout recut to correct dimensions??? anyone know who does thing of this nature? thanks

short answer... no, however there MAY be more to it than "the shells are recessed to far and there is too much headspace". I'd suggest a trip to a GOOD double barrel gunsmith. 0 -
Brownells sells head space rings and a reamer to deepen the recess for the ring. The ring is then soldered or bonded in place amd a new rim recess is cut. 12 Ga ring, #184-116-012-AC, Reamer #184-115-012AC. If a large lathe is available the chamber and ring could be bored thus avoiding the cost of the reamer. 0 -
