Please tell me the good, bad, and ugly about the model 56C (pre-war) bolt action with 5 round magazine.

  Well, not much really to tell. Basically a good utilitarian .22 rifle. Same as Stevens 056, except w/plain rear open sights (as opposed to rear peep). Mfg 1935-48. Value around $200. in Ex to $100.'ish in good condition.
