transfer of new weapons to leo

I have a question for anyone that is or was law enforcement. If I purchase a gun online, and I am current federal law enforcement, can I have my new gun transferred to my station or department for me to pick up at work? This would be a personal firearm not a duty weapon.

  Personal weapons have to go through a FFL, just like anyone else.
  Duty weapons can go through your dept.

  depends on gun type and whether in or out of state but typically personal guns go thru ffl's

  Unless your department holds an FFL, then no, it has to go thru an FFL.
