Stock Identification Question

I am going to try for the first time to post some photos. We will see if it works. I am trying to identify this stock. Just when I think I have it I am wrong. I will give the inletting dimensions as accurately as I can. Perhaps one of you will recognize it for sure.
The measurements for the top tang are (appx) 3 3/8" deep and the bottom tang is 3 1/4" deep. Measurements should be + or - 1/32".

  Its beautiful wood stock certainly. But hard to say. Reminds me of a Remington 1897 from years ago...

  Perhaps an Ithaca Trap Gun? Anyone have one they can take a look at?
