S & W model 439 Stainless??

I recently bought a S & W model 439 at a local show. It is stainless steel with serial number TBM XXXX. I can not find any other stainless versions on the internet for sale. I have found some nickel plated, but mine is definitely not nickel. All of the model 439 that I see on the internet have blue finish. Can someone shed some light on this gun? It has the squared trigger guard and the ambidextrous safety. Any help would be appreciated.

  I find no mention of a SS Model439 in "The Standard Catalog of S & W.
  Your pistol was made in 1988. Could you post a pic or two? It sounds interesting.
