    atvguy585,

Here is a stock set of grips, without the thumb rest, for about $14.00, total:

    http://www.GunBroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=162913171

The term for the "long piece" is pinky rest, sometimes called a finger extension, or a finger rest. Keep searching the auctions for the magazine that you want.

    Good luck!

I too have a Romanian Carpati. Those pictures of the replacement grips look too curved on the backstrap. My Pistol has more or a straight grip on the backside. I had my Dad make some flat sided panels out of Walnut for my gun. I then went to hardware store and got some allen bolt/nut and epoxied the nut into the one side. I agree that thumb rest is more like a leg rest on these. Still I really like this gun and it functions great with all my handloads.[^]
