i have a colt gold cup in original condition along with a 22 long rifle conversion unit with floating chamber..mint condition...can anyone give me an approximate value...curlybill

    REally need some good close-up pictures (ref: sticky at the top for instructions), box, papers, etc. and meaning of "matched". Does this mean linked numbers of some sort, or simply that conversion unit will work on Gold Cup frame?
    Have you checked the auction side for comparable sales??
    Finally, and in general, as nothing is cast in stone, if you can hold off selling for a while you might do better when the economy has improved a bit. Tendency is towards a buyers market at the moment.

    First you may want to consider selling them seperately. A very nice (98%) 70 series in box will bring in the neighborhood of $14 ~ 1500. The conversion unit has several variables that will determine the value it will bring. Is it a fixed sight conversion unit? (brings the most). Is it a floating chamber unit, two tone mag?, fixed or floating ejector? As you can see there are many things that can determine the price. Good pics & detail description are key to best auction results.

    Member status is based on the number of posts and not the date you joined the site and you seem to have only 68...Did some of them vanish? I remember you from way back and both of us joined the site at around the same time in 2002.

    I agree with both Clays and Mr. Crosby: You will see more money selling them separately and this is not the best time to be considering selling at all, unless you are really in need of cash. Although you will certainly have no problem finding people interested in your two tiems, The market is very soft right now and getting top $$$ won't be easy in the current economy.
