Probably a really stupid AR 15 question

Ok, so I wanted an AR 15 but didn't want to pay the money wanted for them at my local shop; so I Thought it would be cool and cheaper top build one, and I could just pay as I go. Well, completed an inexpensive RRA lower with a 6 position colapsible stock under 200 bucks ( should have got a 2 stage trigger though, live and learn ).

Anyway, I read that any complete upper can go on any complete lower, but I have also read about wobble and gaps. So my question is does anyone know which uppers, other than, RRA would be a good fit and if it really does or doesn't matter?

Just want to be sure before I put out the money.

    Now a days virtually every upper fits every lower. That was not true years ago when we were using off set pins and adaptors to get things to fit. If there is any play between the upper and the lower there is a little rubber do-dad called the Accu Wedge that you can drop into the lower receiver and it will take up the slack.

    thanks, that makes me feel a little better: a lot of the s{burp} I was reading was a few years old.
