Is there a .32 cal.full frame 1858 rem. revolver. If so are reproduction cylinder available.

    I am confused the cylinder by itself would not do you much good without a 32 Caliber barrel .

    EDIT Now I understand . are you trying to make a pistol Like the one Lee VanClief "SP" used in the good the bad & the ugly [?]I know someone made a conversion to shoot 38 S&W If you can find that maker he might sell you a blank cylinder or one in 38 S&W plus centerfire hammer or you might be able to get a machinist to make you 6 inserts for a 38 cylinder and J.B. weld in place.

    I have a 18" .32 tapered oct. barrel already fitted to frame

    Then Im confussed I have been told they were reproduced in 32 cal.,36 and 44 I have also been told they were not made in 32

    Perry Shooter I want to stay with the black powder. If not avalable then to make one out of 36 would be my best ocption? I fell better now about my idea of treding sleves, tighten down and Jb weld

    Hello OK I suggest you get a 44 cylinder and get a machinist to make you 6 Inserts They would be in the shape of a tube open on both ends .005 inch over size and then press each one into each open cylinder hole. . Any good machine shop should be able to do it and I would have them made out of fairly soft Stainless easy to machine. The Stainless would be easy to clean cylinder and they don't have to be strong because they already have the strength of surrounding cylinder to hold ANY black powder load that you could get in the cylinder with a ball on top most likely less then 20 Grains.
