best choke
Could I please get some advice on the best choke to use for an ithaca 51 for deer hunting with 00 buck ( winchester supreme 12 ga. 2 3/4 )

Buckshot seems to perform best with very little in the way of choke.
Skeet or improved cylinder should do the best. Buffered shot will
give the best result.0 -
Your post question gives the impression that perhaps you are not familiar with buck shot. Suggest you do some pattern testing with your buck shot and come to understand the limit of range least you go out and have a bad experience wounding a deer. Penetration is limited a broadside shot is preferred, never under estimate the tenacity for life of a wild animal. I think there are 12 pellets to a OO buck load, I would expect to put no less than 4 into the vitals to secure the deer. My opinion probably get lots of others. 0 -

I also would go with these which will be OK with buckshot and if you can ever use slugs they also will be OK shooting along with most others shots for small game. just me though.0 -
