Winchester Model 1897 s/n 498369

Came across this shotgun when inventorying my father-in-law's estate and was trying to estimate value. Belonged to his father as I understand it. s/n appears on both barrel and receiver and I'm guessing it's about a 1910 production. It does need repair as it will fire when jarred while you're carrying it. Well used. Butt plate appears to be plastic, not metal, and has round Winchester Repeating Arms Co logo. Barrel is stamped FULL. Any guesstimates on value? If as is? If repaired? If refurbished including reblued? Thanks much.

    Thanks, Barzillia. Checked out and repaired is on the list before anything is done with it, even putting it in storage. It appears someone may have reblued it but done a poor job but my father-in-law doesn't recall that happening.
