norwegian 22lr conversion kit
friend has the barrel and 7 inserts shaped like 45acp nice condition.i have seen it.. no pics he is a bit of a drive..wants info or possible value for sale..starting to sell off some of his items..getting up in years thanks ..[?]

I don't know anything specific about the conversion kit but I owned a number of the Model 1914 pistols years back. They were marked in the European manner with the Kongsberg arsenal crest, manufacture date, and all parts were serial numbered. Is your conversion kit marked in the same manner? 0 -
I have one of the conversion kits like you are asking about Interesting thing is you use the standard slide and you install one 22 LR cartridge in each insert that looks like a 45 ACP cartridge but is solid with a chamber for the 22 rimfire. The barrel is bored offset and the barrel does not move up and down with a link like a 45 ACP barrel so the firing pin lines up with the rim of the 22 LR works great the cartridge/insert works like a Floating chamber so it develops enough recoil impulse to function the slide [^][^] only bad thing is chasing the Cartridge/inserts after they are ejected [:(]. I have a number of not so common conversions one even shoots .177 pellets powdered by a pistol primer in the Cartridge /insert HIGH velocity and some times blows the nose out of flat nosed pellets. [:0] and another one that uses 22 Shorts with a backing plug with offset firing pin with barrel insert so you use the standard 45 barrel. Value of these units are what the market will bear in the complete kit 6or 7 inserts and barrel in its box I would think $150.00 UP 0 -
I remember those from the big American Rifleman ads in the days when a Free American could mailorder a gun to be delivered to his home. (Before GCA1968.)
I did not realize they would cycle the slide, though.0
