Matching Serial Number Savage M-93 Classics

In the 90s Browning came out with a reproduction of Winchester's Models 12 and 42. Many people worked with Browning to obtain three matching serial number guns in 20 GA, 28 GA, and 410, and those sets are now sold as collector's items. I've been toying with the idea of doing the same thing with Savage, if possible. I'd like to have matching or consecutive serial number Model 93 Classics made up in 17 HMR, 22 Mag, and 22 RF. I've always liked adult sized rimfire rifles and Savage's Model 93 Classic is one sweet rifle, at least in my opinion. I wish Winchester was still making its Model 52 and I own a couple of Ruger Models 77. The Savage rifle definitely interests me and the idea of obtaining a 3-rifle set intrigues me.

Now, I know I'll need to contact Savage directly. However, before I do, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience working with Savage for something like this? Do they have a custom shop or would I work directly with their customer service folks? If I can convince Savage to do this, would anyone else out there like to jump in on this opportunity? Maybe we could keep the cost down if we had several orders together. Any thoughts?

    Customer service and possibly a large(r) distributor.

    Have you seen the Classic in person? Very nice grown up feeling gun, very nice stock.

    I'm building a set w/ the same options (BTV style) but not with same or consecutive serial numbers. I'm hoping I can put my Mk II in 22lr and my 93 in 22mag in the back corner of the closet and wait a few months for a 17 to pop out... :)

    Yes, I've seen the Classics and they are awesome rifles. The stock is especially nice and the bluing is very well done. The action isn''t the prettiest thing in the world, as least for my tastes, but I understand it's an accurate piece. I'm hoping I can work out the serial number deal.
