ok...I asked earlier which or these two are better shtf rifle..saiga (.223 or 7.62x39) or a colt 223..I was thinking first of ammo knockdown power..ammo availability Ex. if there will be ever a civil un-rest which one would be more on the field should I need to look for ammo..i'm not planning to shoot at over 150 meters..just for defensive purposes..and lastly which is a better system..I know 308 is a better round but, I'm 5'6 and 155 pounds..It will be hard for me to carry food, water, ammo and medical supplies..I mean I still want to be able to run when I need to..thanks again.

  My input #2 is still for a AR-15 carbine [:p] Rifle and ammo is lighter than any AK [;)]
