WWII Sub Thompson
What is the best way to determine the value of a WWII Sub Thompson?
The gun has it's origin listed as Normday Beach (actual registration). Besy way to sell as collector item.

Since it is registered then we can assume it is legal. First off there are two major types of WWII TSMGs; the M1 and the M1A1 (cocking handle on the side of the receiver, fixed stock), as well as the earlier M1928A1. All three are worth considerable money, but the Model 1928 (cocking handle on the top of the receiver, removable stock) will bring a a large premium, especially if it is the earlier variation with the finned barrel, Lyman rear sight and Cutts compensator. Thompsons are a life time commitment to many collectors an there are guys who live and breath TSMGs. Take a look around over on the TSMG Collector site http://thetca.net/default.aspx and there are guys who can probably ID your gun down to the day it was produced. When the time comes the best way to sell it is to list it right here on Gun Broker. Make sure all the paperwork is in order and take several quality photos 0
