KBI's out of business, now what?
I just bought a nib PA-63 import by KBI with a 1 year warantee but found out they just went out of business. I have the card filled out and in the mail. It'll probabably be returned to sender but does any body know what going on with KBI business, I tried to find out but would like some help.

The folks who run KBI have been in and out of the firearms import and distributing business since the early 80's under various names. I'm sure it's just a matter of time until they pop up again under another name.
As the PA-63's are sturdy ex Hungarian paramilitary pistols I wouldn't be worrying to much about yours. With its alloy frame shooting the 9mm mak cartridge, it's basically something to be carried a lot and shot seldom, unless your into pain.0 -

KBI seems to have been a fly-by-night operation for a long time. I bought a new Hungarian-made Hi-Power in the '90's which was marked 'KBI' on the slide, and included lots of KBI literature. I wrote to them for parts under warranty, as the sear pin was short and failed in its seat, but I never received a response. I managed to get a phone number for them, but they never answered it. Then I managed to contact the Fegyver es Gepgyar factory by mail, but they said they only sold parts through KBI.
Apparently, KBI's entire facility was only a phone booth, or maybe a room somewhere that had no mail delivery. So I made a new sear pin out of a metric drill bit, which I should have done to begin with.0 -
Who knew the PA-63 came with a 1 yr warranty?
I bought my FEG PA-63 some 3 or 4 years ago. Works just fine.0
