I am trying to gauge the value of a shotgun i received. It is a browning 16 gauge shotgun made in Belgium. It says "sweet sixteen" on the side and is very clean looking. My camera phone won't do justice in this case so i am only looking for an about or average idea of what it might be worth. serial # 52,xxx thanks

Value varies considerably depending on condition but also whether has a vent rib, how choked, original uncut stock without recoil pad, and probably a couple things I left out. A 98% condition Belgian gun in original configuration with 26 or 28 inch vent rib barrel with IC choke will go for around $1600. One without vent rib, with full choke, in 60% condition with recoil pad added, and the oft seen cracked forearm will still bring $600 +/-. Everything else will be between those bookends. The experts really need to see crisp clear pictures to tell you where yours falls.
