revelation whippet model C
Just aquired a pretty little 22 rifle. Need Bolt for it. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding one . It is Stamped on barrel "whippet revelation model C"

The H&D Folsom Arms Co was a large distributor of both double and single barrel shotguns that were produced by Crescent Firearms Co. of Norwich, Connecticut.
Folsom owned and later sold to Savage Arms Co. the Crescent Firearms Co. Davis-Warner Co. and Baker Gun Co. around 1930.0 -

No offense to MBK, but Revelation was also a Trade Name used by Western Auto on the guns they sold. I don't know for a fact but believe it would be more likely that your rifle was in fact made for sale by Western Auto, by one of their contract manufacturers. The way it worked for these type of Store Brand guns is that the dealer would put them up for bid. The manufacturer who could make them for the least amount of money got the contract for X number of guns. Stevens/Savage and Mossberg were some of the manufacturers who made long guns for Western Auto.
If you could post quality close up photos of the rifle one of our members might be able to identify the original manufacturer. Once you know who made it you might be able to pick up a used bolt from one of the on-line parts dealers.0 -
I believe the 22 rifles marked whippet were made by savage arms, the bolts for these are available from time to time but are difficult to find and a bit pricey when you do find them. 0 -

,,,,just looked at "Grandma's" .22,,,,,yours is very similar to a Springfield/Stevens Model 15,,,,although the length of the receiver behind the bolt lock is longer,,,,,maybe a place to start ????,,,,,
I think that this is the same as the Stevens, Savage model 3C.0
