Another Browning A5 date request
Sirs,
A buddy has a Belgium Browning A5 12 gauge that we are having trouble dating. The serial number is 6M 69487. Browning's website shows in 1958 the code 8M followed by the serial number but I couldn't find one starting with 6M. I have pictures on my phone that he texted me but I can't figure out how to get photos from text messages uploaded to the computer. If needed, I can get you photos.
Can anybody shed light on this shotgun?

My WAG is that "M" designates the standard weight A 5, and "6" denotes 1966. 0 -
