I may have one of these.

Could you help me discover the following:

Is it legal to own (Michigan, U.S.)?
What is it's value?
What would be the best way to sell it?

Unless it was registered prior to or during the amnesty of Dec. 1968 with the feds it's not legal, if it hasn't been deactivated, i.e. torch cut to remove the operating mechanism etc.

If you don't have the above paperwork not worth zilch.

It kind of a joke that all the similar stuff to your minenwerfer was criminalized by the Gun Control Act of 1968. Not likely a thug is going to ever use one to hold up a liquor store, but unfortunately that is the way the law is written.

Is it live? If it is then it is a Destructive Device and needed to be registered as rufe-snow already stated. If it has been deactivated and modified by having an opening the size of the shell it was intended to fire cut into the bottom of the breech area and the barrel blocked then it is no longer a DD but is still considered a firearm by definition. If it has been completely DEMILed then it is nothing but an ornament.
