Baby hammerless revolver frames
I have two frames for the tiny baby hammerless revolvers. One is marked on the top strap: PAT. FEB.2.92-FEB 4.96 over: BABY HAMMERLESS over: PATENTS PENDING. It has the number 724 stamped on the right side of the grip frame. It is stripped except for a spring loaded lever on the right front of the frame which apparently held the cylinder pin in place. It has a rounded grip frame,the nickle is flaking. The second is stripped and has better nickle. It is marked on the top strap: PATS. APRIL 5.19 (the last # is not clear but looks like a 9) over: BABY HAMMERLESS over: MODEL 1919. This last line is not clear, it looks like the stamp was tilted, onlythe top half of the letters and numbers are there so the 1919 may be incorrect. The left side of the grip frame is stamped E72 or possibly 172. This one has a squared off grip frame. [I was wondering if there is a market for these? Would it be worthwhile to list them on the auction side? What would be a fair asking price? Thanks in advance for any info!

There IS some collector interest in those, but as you may have found, the springs were, well, fragile may be a good word, and parts that were lost are well nigh impossible to find. Cannot speak with authority, but most interest seems to be in a complete working gun. They were made by a least 3 different companies, and had several design changes over the years. Cute little DAOs- at one time, was smallest DA revolver made. As far as a starting price- no idea- but they will need to go to a FFL. Have one Kolb and one Sedgeley- these are literally vest pocket revolvers. 0 -
