Year of Production
I have a Modesto Santos 6.35mm, S/N17XX. During what years were they manufactured and what year was mine made?

Probably 1920's? This was one of the companies that got started in the gun business by making "Ruby Type" pistols for the French army during the First World War. After the war they continued making .25's & .32's into the 20's. 0 -
I've seen two variations of stocks on these pistols. I am interested in whether you have the type with e MS in an oval at the top of the stocks or stamped near the upper portion of the stock. These are just another of the endless numbers of Browning copies that came out of Eibar Spain in the 1920s. 0 -
Mine has a stamped MS oval near the upper portion of the stock as well as a small brass MS round "button," which is inserted nearer to the bottom of the stock and is the same on both sides. 0 -
