American Tactical brand handguns

Have been checking out the American Tactical brand of handguns online but have yet to see one, even at a show. Anyone have any experiances with them? looking at the 45acp version.

  From a search on the net it appears to be one of the guns made by German Sport Guns. This is a company in Germany who specializes in making replica guns out of zinc die castings, i.e. potmetal. Some of their better known products are the GSG 5 and the Sig Mosquito. I have never owned any of their guns but have owned a couple of the old Erma .22 Lugers made also out of potmetal using the same manufacturing techniques. Although they are neat appearing, they are not as durable as the real things made out of steel.

  Their handguns appear to be CZ clones. But, when the dealers don't have, the distributors don't have them, & the importer doesn't have them at shows, that's not a good sign.
  
  They look a lot like the EAA Witness line, an excellent quality gun that has been available in many finishes & configurations for 25+ years.
