Beretta Interchangibility
I have heard that you can switch the slide on a 92 9mm to a 40 S&W? Is this possible and are there any safety concerns with the higher power and pressure of the 40?

I'm no expert, but have been through the Beretta armorers school. The frame on a model 92 an 96 are identical, and I use a model 96 slide on my model 92 with no problems. 0 -
It is an easy switch and there are no safety issues. 0 -
i have one of the rare beretta sets NIB that contain a 92FS and a complete numbered to the gun 40 top end 0 -
Is this the same for the 90-two model 0 -

Well, yeah, you'd run into a problem if you switched JUST the slide!
But assuming you're switching the slide, barrel, recoil spring, and magazine, you can put the top of a model 96 on a 92 and get it to work just fine.0 -
Both magazines will also run both calibers. 0
