Ship short bbl. M16 upper/conv. unit???

Not seeing particular forum per NFA items, I hope this is the right place. I have a LEGAL M16 with a complete upper (conv. unit) in 9mm. This upper has a short (10") bbl. If I advertise to sell in Gunbroker, can I legally ship this unit (UPS I'm sure) Or is there some hassle for the short bbl. or ???? Clarify: I mean sell the complete conversion unit not the M16 itself! When I bought this conv. unit about 20 yrs. ago, UPS just del. to my door, no big deal.

  Just the 10" upper? No problem, they're bought all the time for AR pistols. It's up to the buyer to not misbehave with the thing. You can send through the USPO if you like.

  You can sell your M16 here on Gun Broker if you wish, we have a special auction area for NFA items and machine guns. The upper is just another gun part and you can sell it here without restrictions, although there are a few states and localities that restrict machine gun parts so be careful where you ship it. Washington State comes quickly to mind.
