Mossberg 535
Hi, I'm Wolf, new to this forum, and somewhat new to shotguns.
I just recieved a Mossberg 535 from my parents, and have a question about it. It is a single barrel gun, and came with two barrels, interchangable with each other. One is about 24 inches, and the other is about six inches longer than that. I was told that I should only fire slugs out of the shorter barrel, and regular shot out of the longer one. I know which chokes to use, etc. Both of these barrels are smoothbore. I was just wondering which one I could fire slugs out of, not because I don't trust my father, but because I just want to be sure (he isn't 100% right _ALL_ of the time

Friend of mine just bought a Mossberg 535. He's telling me that he can only fit 3-3" shells in the mag tube. Could it be that it came with a plug in it from the factory? Usually the plugs dont come already installed in the mag tube and from what I understand this gun should hold atleast 4-3" shells or 3-3.5" shells. He also says that after loading the 3-3" rounds he can barely pump the gun, like something is jammed. I cant really help him without seeing the gun in person, but what do you guys think. Is there a plug in the gun? It sounds like there may be some other problem. [?] 0
