4506 trigger "click"
Can anyone tell me if it is "normal" for a 4506 trigger to make a "click" when the hammer is back and the trigger is initially pulled slightly? I have 2 of the same model and they both have the trigger "click" then pull to the rear and work fine. I am curious if this initial click is part of some sort of trigger reset and by design intentionally.
I removed the slide and see that there are 2 "hooks" on the trigger bar which initially ride above the a "notch" in the trigger then "click" to engage into the trigger notch. This hook engagement into the notch is the "click" I am referring to. I am wondering if I can carefully polish the trigger notch so the trigger bar hooks will not "catch" at the start of the single action trigger pull.
I know this is a tricky question but I cannot just "take it to a qualified gunsmith". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do you like your 45's? A 45 smith is on my want list. I couldn't get my 59 and 69 to do it. Why not give Smith & Wesson a call? 0 -
I called Smith and they were absolutely useless. They said it was "normal" and had to do with the firing pin block lever. I was amazed at how "unknowledgable" they were.
The REAL problem was the trigger play spring. It need to be pushed forward to apply more pressure on the drawbar so the hooks stayed engaged into the trigger groove. It took 10 seconds to fix and no more clicking at all.0
