Smith and wesson 908 vs....

Im sure this conversation has been had over and over but im looking for a single stack 9mm to carry on hotter days and so far i've looked at the smith and wesson 3913,the kahrs cw9,p9,k9... the kel tecs...the walthers...id love one of the 1911's like the emp or slim hawg but thats twice or three times what im looking to spend...i guess what i'm asking is if theres something incredible out there i've managed to overlook thats reasonably priced...thanks!

    Small single stack 9mms. . .somewhat surprisingly, there really aren't that many out there.

    I think you've touched on all of them (Kahr, Kel-Tec PF1, Smith, mini 1911s, Walther PPS), with the exception of the $1000 Rohrbaugh.

    So, no, I don't think there are any "incredible" ones that you've overlooked.

    I'd say for the dollar, the Kel-Tec PF9 is pretty hard to beat.

    Edit: Oh yeah, I've forgotten about the new Taurus 709 9mm "slim".

    If you're looking for something not too big or expensive in 9mm, this one is probably worth a look. I haven't shot one, so I can't comment on this one.

    Check the Sig P6/225, about the same size as the S&W - also check out the Ruger SR-9 - staggered magazine but very slim overall. Also the Taurus PT709 "Slim" is beginning to show up in the showrooms.

    DON'T overlook the Kahr P-45. It's not much bigger than the P-9 and smaller that a 3913 or 908.
