Western Arms Co shotgun
I have a single barrel, Western Arms Co. shotgun with serial number 5786 under the trigger guard. I would like to find out some historical information on the gun.

Gotta make a correction. The name WESTERN ARMS CO(ompany) was used on shotguns made by the Crescent Fire Arms Company of Norwich,CT (1892 to 1931). Don't know who sold the guns. The Name WESTERN ARMS Corp(oration) was used by the Ithaca Gun Company of Ithaca,NY. These guns were made for and sold by Montgomery Ward Company of Chicago.IL. One must watch how the full name was written. 0 -

When I first saw the title of the thread I was thinking, "That's a Crescent name." but I lost my old computer that had the url for the trade name list so I did the dogpile and came up with a possibly wrong answer.0 -
Okay, I've got the Crescent connection, but of all the trade names Crescent used, I haven't seen Western Arms Co. The only mfg I've seen that used Western Arms Co. was Bacon Arms, who preceded Crescent? 0 -
