Ruger Security Six front sight
I have a couple of Ruger Security Six revolvers. I am replacing the sights and was told by Ruger customer service that the rear sight is compatible with the GP100 adjustable sight, but the front fixed sight is not. I was wondering if any of you would know what sight I could use for the front? I am a jeweler and could modify one if it was close. Thanks, Jeff.

Brownells sells sights for different Rugers--maybe try one of them since they are just pinned. You could dovetail the new sight from a GP100 too I suppose. 0 -
Like Ruger 41 said, your best bet is Brownells, or Ruger direct, with a front blade made for your gun. You will have to drill the hole for the cross pin, but that's it. May be available in more than one height; if so make sure you get the one you want as once you've drilled a hole through it, I doubt anyone would take it back. 0 -
I have one of each. The front on the security six is a blade in the barrel ramp. The GP 100 is dovetailed in the barrel.Brownells shold be able to help you. 0
