savage action screws
Can any one tell me the size and lengths of the screws that hold the stock to the action on a savage model 110? I have ordered a boyds stock for it and it requires a longer set of screws; the same ones for a wooden stock. I would much rather go to the hardware store than order them.

Not sure about teh CF rifles, but the rimfires are 12-32
Already checked all my local stores... I'm gonna have to call Savage for mine.

The actions screws for the Savage 110 are 1/4x28 and unlikely to be found in your local hardware store. However, a local gunsmith might have something you could work with. Otherwise your options are limited to ordering from a source such as Brownells or Midway...

Order the correct screw from Brownell's. You can buy the correct thread but not an appropriate head type. That is, unless you want your rifle to look like something assembled by Bubba. 0
